What is Microdermabrasion?
Not to be too short, but it is pretty much sanding your skin.
Ok, So What Does It Do?
1. Treats acne and acne scars
2. Will improve blackheads and age spots
3. Exfoliates skin
4. Improves the appearance of stretch marks
5. Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
6. Reduce or even eliminate enlarged pores
7. Improve the appearance of darkened patches of skin
How Can I Do This at Home?
Even though this is offered as a professional service, and a pretty pricey one at that, you can get a system or simple tool for use at home.
The way it works is through treatments, although you may notice some differences in your skin the first time.
Although there are different types of dermabrasion, the one I talk about here is the Diamond tip handpiece. It has an abrasive tip along with suction to use on the skin that you want to treat.
You will apply some pressure and first, go vertically across your skin, then go back to the starting point and go horizontally.
It may take a few treatments to be able to increase pressure and suction.
What Are the Side Effects?
You will have some redness and possible swelling, which leads me to the next part.
Sheet Mask
After you have finished the microdermabrasion treatment you are going to want to calm your skin down.
Before you apply the sheet mask, though, you need to use a mild toner to wipe away any dead skin cells that may have been left behind.
Next, you will apply the sheet mask for about 15-20 minutes.
My recommendation for the kind of sheet mask to use would be either one that contains vitamin C or collagen.
They also need to be the kind that you pat any residue left from the mask into your face.
You can then follow your regular routine.
Note: If you use this on any other part of your body, you can just apply moisturizer to soothe your skin.

This is something that I do for myself and it does work. Please feel free to ask me anything or leave a comment.
